ALAN DERVISEVIC
ASST. DIRECTOR
DIRECTOR OF COACHES
COACH 16 ALAN
My first contact with volleyball came through my father, who was a professional player and coach for over 50 years. He was the coach of the National team of Yugoslavia and the coach of National team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I started to play at 11 years of age and at age of 14 started to play for the junior team of VC Jedinstvo for 4 years, which is where I started to develop my volleyball career. I played from 1986 till 1991 for University of Tuzla’s volleyball team in the first Bosnian division; where from 1987 I was coach/player. When war started in Yugoslavia in 1991, I moved to Germany, where I started to play and coach from 1993 till 1999.
ALYSA HEATH
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM
COACH 17USA & 14 CO
Alysa Heath is a Colorado native. She has 20 years of experience in playing volleyball, five of which were played in college and one that was played professionally in Bosnia. Out of the five years of college, two years were played at Division I school, Wichita State University, and the last three were played at Division II school, MSU Denver. While at Metro, she received many accolades for volleyball, including 2013 AVCA third team All-America, 2013 AVCA first team all-South Central Region, 2013 Daktronics first team all-South Central Region, 2013 second team all-RMAC, 2013 Colorado Premier Challenge all-tournament, 2013 RMAC offensive player of the week (Sept. 9), 2012 AVCA honorable mention all-South Central Region, 2012 second team all-RMAC, 2012 RMAC offensive player of the week (Oct. 22), 2012 Grand Canyon Invitational all-tournament, and 2012 preseason all-RMAC. Alysa’s club-coaching career began in 2011 during college because she needed money since scholarships didn’t give athletes money for bills and groceries. Coaching quickly became a passion and her career choice. Since 2013, every club team that Alysa has coached has won one or more Power Tournaments. She has coached every skill level of volleyball, whether it’s been at Gold Crown, Middle School, High School, Club, Summer Camps and Clinics for colleges and clubs, or private lessons. Alysa graduated from MSU Denver with a BS in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition and graduated high school from Chatfield Senior High School in Littleton, CO where she was born and raised.
